My Story
I began my career in tax preparation in September 1997 while working as a legal secretary at Slife & Smith. As part of my role, I assisted with preparing tax returns and quickly discovered a genuine passion for the work.
Over the years, tax preparation became more than a job — it became something I truly enjoyed and took pride in doing well.
When Pickner Law Office closed its doors, I knew I wasn’t ready to retire or step away from tax work. That decision led me to partner with Tracy to start Five 5 One Taxes, where I continue to do what I love: helping clients navigate their taxes with care and confidence.
I live in Alcester with my husband, George, and our puppy, Marshmallow. We have two children and three grandchildren.
In my free time, I enjoy doing puzzles and playing cards with local friends.
